Geo-engineering Stopps the Climate Change

In a hundred years, life on our planet will be better.

A comprehensive learning process has been triggered by catastrophes – as is usually the case in human history. Global warming in 100 years will have caused droughts, floods, famines and subsequent migration flows. Looking back from the year 2121, what have been the steps to solve the climate problem? Financially strong nation states began to control the climate through active geoengineering from 2030 onwards.

How could CLIMATE CHANGE be solved through geoengineering?

By introducing e.g. particles in the stratosphere and mirrors in orbit, influencing cloud formation by spray ships in the oceans, controlled rainfall and sunshine hours were achieved in certain regions.

The path towards global cooperation began at the poles.

When the dwindling ice cover in Antarctica made the exploration and exploitation of raw materials economically interesting, this led to armed conflicts between the USA, Russia, Canada, Denmark, Norway and China over the exploitation of these resources. In the end, there was a global race of nations for the newly accessible resources. It could only be prevented by a new organisation for the regulation of raw material deposits.

Isolated geoengineering caused tensions.

Similarly, geo- weather engineering by rich nations initially caused political tensions. What exactly was happening? After increasingly warmer and drier summers, European countries managed to restore sufficient rainfall and cooling by influencing cloud formation and using spraying ships. This led to droughts and devastation of whole areas in Africa. Similar dislocations occurred through weather engineering in the USA to the detriment of South America.

Asia, led by China, achieved a dramatic increase in rice harvests.

The deliberate introduction of particles into the stratosphere intensified the rainy seasons and improved rice supply. But this in turn led to the desertification of large parts of Russia. In short, the manipulation of the weather by individual countries built up new tensions with neighbouring countries.

What helped to avoid the climate world war?

After fierce conflicts between the leading users of climate engineering, especially between Europe, China, the USA, Russia and the UAE, it was agreed that a world organisation for the consensual regulation of climate change for the benefit of all. Valuable years were wasted by not understanding the complexity of climate change for too long.

The World Climate Change Organization learned from the German “Waldsterben”.

In the 1990s, science, politics and society in Germany also failed to understand the complexity of the forest dieback issue. Acid rain was mistakenly identified as the main cause. This was then overrated by the media. In fact, acid rain caused by air pollution with sulphur dioxide was not the main cause. As multivariate analyses showed, two severe frost winters, underfertilisation of spruce monocultures and a fungal disease were the main causes of the symptoms: In fact, the official head of the ”waldsterben”  report helped to evaluate in a professional analysis that the complexity of the forest dieback was not understood for more than a decade     through media exaggerations and over-simplification in science. The human wish in challenging situations to reduce complex problems to one main indicator impeded holistic research. A reduction of CO2 emissions was still helpful even if not the main root cause. But again, the complexity of the issue was not fully understood until decades later.

By the time the actual mechanism of climate change was understood, it was too late to stop global warming at its roots.

So all that was left was to take corrective action on the symptoms through elaborate global geoengineering. Just in time, a new balance of seasons with controlled rainfall and temperature fluctuations could be established. For this purpose, a further global cooperation platform was created as a specialised organisation.

The increase in the world’s population led to expansion into space.

In the meantime, the world population has risen to more than 11 billion. This led to a push for the exploitation of resources in the solar system. It was obvious that similar mistakes had to be avoided in the now inevitable exploitation of raw materials in space. After the discovery of oxygen on Mars, terraforming and geoengineering to grow food and mine mineral resources in space became a new area of tension between the most powerful countries on Earth. And as has always been the case in human history:

New problems lead to new, better solutions.

So this time, under massive influence and pressure from global corporations, a professional space organisation was established early on. Members of this organisation are selected by professional selection mechanisms and no longer by party political processes. In this way, it was finally possible – albeit with a regrettable time lag – to stop the  the conflict from the early days of geoengineering and the struggle for resources in the solar system.
