What is our vision?

With our publications we clarify. We put complicated issues online, easily and understandably for everyone.

In the section “The Present”, we provide easy-to-read texts from research and technology, spirit and society, economics and social affairs with a language that everyone can understand, regardless of the degree and nature of their education.

New technologies are like a knife: you can use them to lovingly smear a bread for a child or to hijack a plane.

We want to help people to recognize not only the dangers of change but also the many opportunities that the innovations of our time bring.

In the column “The world in a hundred years” we publish fantasies of people of all kinds and worldabouts about the future. Our goal is to ask all the people of the world about their utopia for the future and to share it online.

Can we reach everyone?

Why not? We have the internet: the world has become a village!

True, Milgram’s thesis that everyone knows everyone has long been on shaky ground. But that was in the 1960s. The most recent and most comprehensive evidence of Milgram’s thesis was provided by Jure Leskovec of Carnegie Mellon University and Eric Horvitz of Microsoft Research. The two raised a treasure trove of data that only the global internet allows. They analyzed the connections of 240 million instant messenger accounts. The protocols comprise 30 billion individual connections, the largest social network ever analyzed, according to the researchers.

As a result, we could statistically question about 6.6 corners of every person in the world they want to live in tomorrow. An incredible chance as we find!
